A brief history
I was trained and practiced as an Art Therapist until my second child was born. Being a stay at home mom gave me an opportunity to reassess my career choice and choose a something I’m passionate and good at that could earn me a living. I’ve been organizing my space since I was a child and began offering my services to friends and family.
My business, Sacred Spaces, is a professional organizing company. While there are many organizers in the country, with different specialties, my company is unique because it specializes in young and growing families, is knowledgeable about organizing Kosher kitchens and my unique background as a therapist helps with the often difficult challenges that are part of the organizing process.
Whenever I meet a client for the first time, no matter what the job looks like, I can visualize the space in its future form. The potential the space has to be clear, open, streamlined and beautiful.
As for my business, its mission, vision and purpose is very clear. Sacred Spaces’s mission is to provide every client the opportunity to live in a space that works and that they love, give respect to the space in which they live, help every client have order and balance in their life and open their space and lives to abundance.
Obstacles I've faced
My top two obstacles have always been fear and doubt; fear about not being good enough and letting myself down and doubt about my skills. These obstacles come and go but dissipate over time and experience. Fear and doubt will always be there in some form but continuing to do what I love despite it, that’s the breakthrough.
If I could ask a business guru one question it would be: “How do I manage my time so I give enough to the business but still maintain a quality of life that includes my family and friends?”
Looking back
As I look back, if I could have given myself one piece of advice I would have said “trust yourself, be your best champion and absolutely don’t take life so seriously!”
I don’t believe in regrets. Regret is an energy suck and all the decisions I’ve made in my life brought me here. And I like where “here” is.
Advice
My best piece of advice for other women…you don’t have to do it all, all the time, at the same time, but over a life time you can have it all.
